  • Standard buy-to-let mortgage products will allow 85% loan to value funding, but we can arrange 100% funding by using the equity in your own home.
  • Most products will expect the monthly rental income to cover the interest portion of the mortgage by at least 130%. For example for an interest only mortgage of £100 per month will need a rental income of at least £130 per month.
  • Student buy-to-let schemes for either investors or parents of students are available. If your son or daughter is planning on going to University you may want to consider buying them a property to live in. The property can be purchased either in your name or that of your son of daughter for tax efficient investment. The other rooms in the property could then be rented to other students to cover the mortgage and allow your son or daughter to potentially live rent-free during their time at University, in a house you know to be safe and comfortable.
  • DSS tenants and houses in multiple occupation (HMO's) all accepted
